Mistaking My Daughter For Trash

37 episodes

In the noble matriarchal magic family of Valerius, baby Ella is born with the supreme Pure Gold Bloodline, destined to be queen. But her jealous aunt Morgan bribes a priest to brand her a clan-destroying curse. The cold grandmother orders a fire execution. As her parents, Duchess Octavia and Edmund, watch in despair, Bram—a “foolish” janitor despised by all—rushes into the flames and saves her with scorched hands. Ella’s supreme magic is sealed by a dark curse; her identity pendant becomes a charred lump. Six years later, powerless Ella is the lowest “magic-less trash” at the Magic Academy, surviving with her foolish adoptive father. Fate is cruel: her biological brother Julian brutally beats her; Duchess Octavia, longing for her dead daughter, smashes the dirty child against the sacred blood-testing stone. The stone flashes gold but is extinguished by the seal. Enraged, Octavia silently allows Julian to kill; Bram is severed in the spine protecting Ella. To earn one gold coin for medicine, 8-year-old Ella endures humiliation and jumps into a freezing ice lake. The icy water cleans the Star Pendant, revealing its faint blue glow. Climbing ashore, she runs into the Duchess—who stares at the pendant, stunned. When the supreme Pure Gold magic finally breaks the seal and shakes the empire, the truth will tear open the ducal family’s bloody lies. They will fall into eternal regret. And Ella, holding her foolish father’s hand, has only coldness and unforgiveness for those “blood relatives” who kneel and weep.
