The Protagonist, Lucas Vance, is the Supreme Commander. While hunting for Mrs. Vance's killer, he discovers her younger sister is now the CEO of the Zenith Consortium and considers assigning someone to protect her. At a blind date, Lucas runs into Emma Crawford, the CEO of Northaven's top enterprise, the Zenith Consortium. She manages over $100 billion in assets and has $10 billion in personal savings. Emma mistakes him for her date. Keeping a low profile, Lucas claims he only makes $4,000 a month. She teases him for daring to go on a blind date with such a meager income, only to realize it was a complete mix-up. Meanwhile, his child is eager for a new mom and brings up Aunt Martha, whose knowledge of a mysterious necklace hints at a deeper connection to the late Mrs. Vance. Because Emma is his late wife's sister, Lucas secretly watches over her. As they grow closer, sparks fly. When Emma gets severely injured, Lucas realizes he has fallen for her but tries to bury his feelings out of guilt. Eventually, a long-buried secret comes to light: Lucas Vance's brother, Logan Vance, is actually the legendary Dragon Commander. The truth leaves everyone in awe, finally explaining why Emma's sister followed him so fearlessly—drawn by his unparalleled bravery and status. As The Dragon Commander, Logan Vance fought silently for everything he had, staying true to himself despite constant misunderstandings and accusations of mistaken identity. As all the mysteries unravel, Cole sacrifices his life to protect Emma, pushing Lucas to finally stop running and embrace his love for her.
