As the daughter of Apollo, Sierra Blair infiltrates a high school as a transfer student under Zeus's orders to assassinate Alex Thorne, a demigod born of Hades. Just when all hope seems lost, Alex, a loner long tormented by bullies, sheds his disguise and unleashes his dormant shadow power to protect everyone at the cost of his own life. Moved by his kindness, Sierra defies her orders and fights to save him. Though destined to be enemies, the two discover that their powers of light and darkness can coexist in an unexpected bond.
