The Museum I Donated Is Full of Fakes

66 episodes

As the heir of the first family in Qingzhou, Wang Mingyuan inherited the family's wealth and responsibility, dedicating himself to the protection and cultural heritage of artifacts. However, upon returning to the ancestral home, he discovered that the ancestral shrine had been destroyed, and the family's honor was insulted. To uncover the truth, Wang Mingyuan began to use the family's influence and the local government, offering a reward to find the mastermind behind this. This also led him to discover a more serious issue—the artifacts donated by the Wang family over the years might have been secretly sold abroad. To investigate the truth of the artifact smuggling, Wang Mingyuan disguised himself as a janitor to infiltrate the Qingzhou State Museum, where he accidentally discovered a pair of blue and white embroidered spring vases that stirred memories of his father. These vases were priceless heirlooms of the Wang family, and his father had entrusted him to protect these artifacts and promote the culture of the Dragon Country before his death. However, during his visits to the museum, he found that some staff members and Mu Rongyue, his fiancée, were frequently in contact and trading artifacts. Wang Mingyuan gradually discovered that Mu Rongyue's cooperation with the museum was not just about artifact protection but also for personal gain, involving the smuggling of artifacts abroad. Mu Rongyue's attitude towards the artifacts was dismissive, even recklessly destroying some precious artifacts to sell them individually for huge profits. She also manufactured a large number of fakes to place in the museum to deceive visitors. This caused Wang Mingyuan's trust in her to completely collapse, and he decided to expose her and the museum's corrupt practices.
